Staff development training

Greenfields firmly believes that the most successful outcomes for the young people in our care can only be achieved by the professionalism and commitment of a well trained and highly motivated staff team.

Accordingly, we place great emphasis on providing a comprehensive Individual Training Programme for each staff member, taking into account past professional and life skills experience, in addition to recognising and developing personal interests and skills, which have the potential to add value to our service.

Greenfields employs a training co-ordinator to mentor NVQ 3 and NVQ4 Childcare qualifications. They also hold regular workshops and training courses that focus on all aspects of adolescent residential care in accordance with the schedule of training requirements as set out in the National Minimum Standards relating to our service.

All staff with supervisory or management responsibilities are supported in their professional development.

In addition, our team of qualified psychotherapists hold regular workshops with staff to explain in an easily understood manner many of the underlying psychological issues that may contribute to young people's behavioural problems.

Staff supervision is undertaken at regular intervals where all issues may be confidentially discussed with line management and any further training opportunities identified.

Greenfields is an expanding organisation and believes in promotion from within. Accordingly, opportunities for career advancement are unsurpassed for those prepared to demonstrate commitment, ability and enthusiasm.

Greenfields is an Investor in People Organisation.
